Intro
The Citadel is the fourth map in the Demons of the Past's campaign, and again it's another place reused from previous SpellForce 2 games.
Most places on this map remain the same as before with some minor changes, like how to get to some areas.
Most enemies are the same, like the infinite spawn of Demons wandering everywhere but there are also some unique adversaries that you might have to face in battle.
⚠ This map has one broken Achievement.
If you're playing for that, read how to fix it before entering the map.
Also, If you're playing for the Achievements, go to Menu »» Options »» And set the Difficulty Level to Very Difficult.
Completing this map on Very Difficult, will grant you an achievement.

Trivia
There are 2 Portals on this map but they are mostly for decoration/immersion purposes. One it's required to be interacted with in order to proceed in the game, the other one is out of reach.
At some places on this map, you will find Filigree Metal Pieces, and a Clock Generator too. These are leftovers from the Dragon Storm add-on and not really a part of this expansion.

Proceed through the Citadel, where the Shapers stored a mountain of knowledge within their library.
To find your way through this mountain, maybe you can use information given by the Norcaine, researching the Shaper City.

Help the Dracon defeat Sinistra La'Shut
Dracon Shur Tal'in doesn't want to ally with you, but he has requested your aid in a diplomatic mission. You should persuade the other leaders to help him in his quest and aid the Dracon by opening the shortcut-gates.-

Convince Archon Liriel to join the Dracons cause
Go to Archon Liriel in the Archon Camp in the north-west and convince her to fight the Sinistrim. -

Open the Gate
Open the southern shortcut-gate by turning the lever marked on your map, so that the attackers have easier access to their enemy.
You've learned of gates, that can be opened by levers, which are to be found throughout the Citadel. You should try them out, so that the attackers have easier access to their enemy.
