Shadow Wars
Intro
Ortbrandt is the current baron of Norimar, a northern province within the Kingdom of the Highmark, serving under King Ulf. As Norimar is the home of the Iron Falcons, he is also likely their current leader of the legendary group of knights.
The Soul Carrier first encounters Ortbrand while making his way to the court of King Ulf seeking aid against the Pact that is besieging his home in the Iron Fields. The Baron agrees to assist the Shaikan after they stop the advancement of the Pact by collapsing a part of Madan Gor, but requests the group pave the way through the western part of his lands that had recently been overrun by the Undead. He gives them a letter trustworthiness for the King and also sends his son Falkmar with them as an advocate.
Rottgar's Letter
Should the Soul Carrier decide to tell the truth to Solveig during the quest Rottgar´s Letter, he may tell the Baron about Rottgar´s betrayal, which prompts the Baron to arrest him.
Traitors in Falcon Castle
If the Soul Carrier chooses to report Magistra Hedwig to Baron Ortbrandt, the latter will order her arrest. However, Hedwig will refuse to be captured and a fight will break out in which she dies.
