Goran is a relatively known scholar living in Greyfell whose services aided the Phoenix Bearer on multiple occasions.

They first got inquired when the Phoenix Bearer visited him on behest of Sandor as he believed that Goran's expertise in old languages could aid them in uncovering the mystery of Shin Tar Guar. Though Goran appeared annoyed by the disturbance at first, he ended up assisting them in their quest.
When later asked if he could translate a book the Phoenix Bearer obtained after slaying the ghost of the infamous mage, he pointed her towards Darius Servil in Liannon as this exceeded his own abilities.
They later met again when he translated an old tablet with a magic spell on it for the Rune Warrior in exchange for payment.
