SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past is the final expansion of SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars which was released on January 16, 2014. The expansion acts as a direct sequel to the story of Faith in Destiny which ended on a cliffhanger, unfortunately in terms of gameplay does not offer anything new and is in fact plagued with a considerable amount of bugs more so than its predecessor.
Setting
Immediately after the liberation of Zazhut his minions The Nameless begin an onslaught across Eo. After a meeting is held by the shaikans council of elders and dragons of The Refuge on how to proceed, one of the elders and Zazhut Liberator's mentor, Saliman the philosopher decides to go on the journey to defeat Zazhut in order to save Eo and avenge his pupil.
