Many do not know how different the fate of Fiara could have been when over a millennia ago, a black star set its course for it. It would have struck just south of the middle mountains, rendering the entire region uninhabitable, were it not for Hirin, the God of Death and Time. Mere moments before impact, Hirin stopped time at this place, and by doing so, saved countless lives, however, this dark star brought with it something far more sinister - something that would sow terror in the hearts of Eo's inhabitants even centuries later.

The black mirror: a mysterious object that crashed onto Eo alongside the meteor. Few know of its existence, even fewer of its purpose, but the fact remains that this mirror connected our world to the world of the Shadows. Hirin foresaw this and placed a spell around the crater of the black star that would prevent them from ever leaving this place, but fate had something else in store. The Mirror would eventually leave the crater, and the Shadows would slowly but surely enter Eo - they could be anywhere, from desolate ruins to the busiest of streets, and you will not see them until all life is snuffed from your eyes.
