Shal is one of the two capitals of the Dark Elves. Its imposing obsidian towers, often seen glistering in the silver moonlight from afar, dwarf all in the swamps of Lar. The Norcaine built it at the end of the War of the Six Races, and it served as a bastion for their military, ceremonies, and traditions on Fiara ever since.
Though the people of the light have never been a threat to Shal, internal conflicts between the three castes of the Norcaine (Archon, Dracon, and Sinistra), have often caused turmoil from within its walls. Even so, the mysteries and intrigue of this place are not to be taken lightly, for none but the leaders of the Norcaine know all the secrets of this place - the rest are to obey the rules of their caste: for the glory of the Silverweaver!
