House_Hallit

Hallit is one of the royal houses of Nortander - the other ones being Wulfgar, Leonidar, Utran and Iskander - Iskander being the only one of the houses that no longer exists.
According to Jon Greywind in Greydusk Vale, the Hallits are simple and straightfoward folk, easier to get along with then the people of Wulfgar or Utran.
They are also friends with the Dwarves of Windholme in the Southern Windwalls, connected with them through a bond for many generations. This bond was renewed between the leaders of House Hallits and the leader of the Dwarves in Windholme every generation and both sides always took their connection very seriously.

Appearances

The Hallits are primarily found in their home Stonewell in the Northern Windwalls.
When the Phoenix Bearer reaches their home, the Hallits find themselves besieged by the Undead and left for themselves by the Dwarves due to the son of Lord Jonir Hallit having broken the bond between between the races.
With the aid of the Rune Warrior, the Hallits were able to throw the Undead back and defend their homes. The Phoenix Bearer then proceeded to restore the bond between the Humans and Dwarves of Hallit in the Southern Windwalls

While technically not part of the "human" Hallits, the Dwarves of Windholme also are using the term Hallit for their units, hinting at the great importance of the bond to both races. The Dwarves even aided the Humans of Hallit in their rebellion against the queen, further highlighting how close the two really were.

Trivia

  • The models used by Skarvig Ironbeard and Skeld Skjalfson are named NpcDwarfHalliteSoldier and NpcDwarfHalliteChief respectively. Following the way other faction unit models have been named, this hints that other "ordinary" Windholme units might originally also have been planned to use these models.
  • The miners in Frostweaver Rift are stated to belong to the dwarves of Fastholme, yet other than the rest of the dwarves there are named Hallit Worker rather than Fastholme Worker. Whether or not this is intentional, an oversight or merely using a unit originally designed for The Order of Dawn in Breath of Winter is unknown.
  • There are several unused Dwarven Hallit units in the game files of SpellForce 1. Those are:
    • Hallit Worker: Melee unit with a hammer.
    • Hallit Foreman: Melee unit with an axe.
    • Hallit Artisan: Melee unit with a hammer.
    • Hallit Master of Forges: Melee unit with an axe.
    • Hallit Warrior: Melee unit with a hammer and shield.
    • Hallit Elder: Melee unit with a dagger and orb.
