Hokan's Dream Game
The events of this game are not part of the canon story and timeline of the SpellForce universe.

Intro

The Realm of the Gods is the third map in the Demons of the Past's campaign, and its supposed to be the abode of the gods of Eo.

It's filled with Ghosts, some are even known characters from the previous games that can help you... or not.

And apparently, according to Demons of the Past, the afterlife on Eo resembles a entangled burocratic company where you have to go through a lot of hoops and ladders in order to proceed and meet the bosses of the place: the Guardians themselves.

When the Quests Game Over, Trickster, and Reach the Gods are concluded, there will be a cutscene with Ereon, and after that the Elder get to recruit one amongst six heroes from previous Spellforce games.
Your options are:

Once the selection is made, you are on your way to The Citadel.

Here it is the map, with the important locations to remember when playing it:

Trivia

The Renegade Guardians as well as Zerbo shouldn't be on Demons of the Past's campaign according to the lore from previous games.

By this time, Zerbo has become the Red God and the Renegades are supposed to be exiled outside Eo.

If you take upon the side quest Gal'Turk's Gear before completing the Overseer's tasks, the twist at the end about his true identity is anticipated revealed in this side quests description.

Quests

  • Reach the Gods

    1. 1
      Siege of the Gods

Break the siege of the City of the Gods
There are deluded Spirits attacking the City of the Gods. Hirin charged you with the defence of the City. Despite his unfriendliness, he seemed to trust in your abilities to get the job done.

      • Help! I need somebody!

You need more men to break the siege
Just three warriors aren't enough to break the siege around the City. Look for other Spirits that are not deluded and who might be willing to join your cause.
      • Where there's no portal...

        Destroy the portal
The deluded Spirits gain reinforcements through a huge portal in the south. If you want to succeed in breaking the siege, you have to destroy it and cut off their supply.
      • Trebuchets are no good

        Destroy the siege weapons
Trebuchets are powerful siege weaponswith a good range and damage potential. Destroy them, before they can break through one of the outer walls.
      • Everyone gone?

        Search for scattered enemy troops
The gates of the City will only open if all deluded Spirits are gone. You should search the area for scattered enemy troops.
    2. 2
      Step right up

      Enter the City
You've managed to break the siege and the City gates have opened.
But a new obstacle presents itself. There's a long queue to get in, and you're at the end of it.
You need to find a way to make things go faster.

      • You Got My Number

Find a way to reduce your queue number

You have the idea of switching numbers with other Spirits waiting in line.
You should try for an especially low number to get in quicker.
        💡
Talk to the Spirits on the Waiting Room [13] in the following order:
        1. Flink
        2. Anxious Child
        3. Archmage Alyre
        4. Eldest Tario
        5. Elune
        6. Shan Muir
        7. Drakkarmaster Carla
        8. Dath Turner
      • History is Important

Talk with the Historian in the next chamber
After reducing your number to 13, you have to proceed to the next chamber.
Talk with the Historian there. Maybe he can give you directions.
    3. 3
      Where Am I?

Get some help within the City
You've finally reached the City itself.
But it's huge and you seem at a loss where to start.
You need a guide and some direction how to proceed.

      • Someone To Watch Over Me

Get a guide to find your way
You have to reach the Gods, but their City overwhelms you.
Find a guide that can show you the way.
      • A Gate, But No Luck

        Try to reach the gate
With Craig's help you've found a gate that leads to the centre of the City where the Gods reside in their great hall.
Unfortunately, it's guarded, but maybe you can check it out nonetheless?
      • How To Distract A Distraction

        Distract the guard
The guard won't let you through the gate. He distracts you from your goal, so he needs to be distracted himself.
Try to find someone who might want to make some noise or other distraction.
        💡
        Vlad, the Stranger [15]

    4. 4
      New District, New Luck

      Try to reach the Arena
Unfortunately, the gate was locked and you couldn't force an entry, despite the distracted guard.
So Craig suggested to go to the Arena, where there's a staircase to the Great Hall, without a gate in-between.

      • Solid Matter

        Get to the next district
        You've reached the next obstacle.
To enter or leave a district of the City of the Gods, you have to be ethereal....which you aren't.
And the City walls are just as solid as you are.
      • A Scroll And Some Luck

Find someone to teach you a spell
There are some Spirits that like the old, solid ways better than being ethereal.
So they pass through the walls by the using a Spell.
Try to find one of them who might be willing to teach it to you.
        💡
        Eldest Tario [18]
      • Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Find a boat to reach the Arena
It seems like everything that can go wrong does go wrong. You've reached the shipyard, but the boat has disappeared.

You have to find it quickly, as you're running out of time.

    5. 5
      Trickster

      Fulfill the Overseers tasks
Upon reaching the stairs leading from the Arena to the Great Hall, your way is blocked by an Overseer.
      Tough luck for you.
He offers you a game at high risk.
But you have to take the chance.

      • Some Stuf

        Bring the Overseer three items
The first task is easy as you only have to find a helmet, a sword and armour and bring them to him.💡
        Armory [21]
      • Some Traps

Lay some traps to improve the defences
As second task, the Overseer wants you to lay out some traps to improve the defences.
You have your doubts about the value of that operation, but it's part of the game, so you have to do it.
        💡
Area around the Magic Merchant [7]
      • Some Trout

Slap the Prophet with a trout
There's a wargame going on in the neighbouring district.
One of the leaders - the so-called Prophet - seems to have angered the Overseer, so that your task will be to slap him around a bit with a large trout.
      • Security – Please Respond

Check the defensive towers of this district
Someone seems to have disabled one of the defensive towers of the City in this district.
Check some more of those towers to be sure everything's fine.
      • Suspicious, Suspicious

Follow Io to find out what she's up to
You've noticed Io near one of the sabotaged defensive towers.
Follow her, to see if she's involved, or if you were just overly suspicious.
      • Danger, Danger

        Defend the City
Your suspicions were correct. Io led you directly to a new portal, this time within the City.
But there's already too many of the deluded Spirits for you to take them on by yourself.
Go get the wargamers to join in a real fight.
      • Game Over

Report the events back to the Overseer
Although you haven't yet fulfilled the last task, you should report this incident directly to the Overseer.
After your heroic dedication, he has to let you through.
