Okram was once a shining beacon of light for the ones following his guidance at the universities of Ankbrand, until a fateful encounter left his body lamed, blighted by a poison that human medicine couldn’t heal: By the time help had arrived, Orkam had long been drifting at the river of souls, however, refusing to accept this fate, his followers turned to the dark arts, using necromancy to bring his soul back from the dead. His body reformed a spectre, yet his mind was still intact, and so he wasted no time resuming his teachings, now seeking to gather more like-minded followers all across Eo.
