- When the Orcs first settled in the lands surrounding the Gate of Swords, they were greeted by naught but wide plains and the cold howl of the wind. Most creatures cowered as the thundering horns of their legions drew near – most but not all. Native to those lands, the wargs sought to defend their home. Their packs pounced on the Orcs, still mending the wounds inflicted by the War of the Six races. The experienced Dark Ones were quick to fend off these unexpected foes, but in their fervor, they managed to gain the respect of the Iron Lord. For that, they weren’t slaughtered, but instead taken captive, tortured, and forced to bend to the will of their new masters – and they did. Some of them still roam the lands free, but make no mistake, should you hear the sound of their howls, the Orcs lie not far behind.
