The Guardian introduced as Kerona in Demons of the Past's campaign as the Guardian of Time, it's not canon.
In fact, it contradicts the lore of previous games as it's already mentioned on those that the Guardian of Time is Hirin.
Supposedly an unknown Guardian before even the time of the Shapers, Kerona, the so-called Guardian of Time was the one who wanted to sacrifice herself in order to contain Zazhut when the Guardians fought him the first time.
It's inferred that she and Ulm were lovers and due to being the one forced to imprison her, that could also be the trigger that caused his downfall and subsequent transformation into Zarach.
Zarach maintain his love for her for millennia during her imprisonment, so when his brother Ereon and the Elder came looking for his help to defeat Zazhut again, he jumped at the opportunity to free Kerona and see her again, even if that meant to possess an Orc and make him follow the Elder.
However, after she is freed from her prison in the Icewastes of Shalibar, when she appears at the Plains of Argan to help on the final fight against Zazhut, it's revealed that her plan was not to sacrifice herself but instead to devour Zazhut and Sariel to become the most powerful being on Eo, even more powerful than any of the other Guardians.
Something that Ereon had glimpsed when the Guardians fought Zazhut for the first time.
In order to save Zazhut, and not willing to go down without a fight, Sariel decides to sacrifice her life and kill Kerona in the process.
