The area between the Shadow Pass and Eloni is known as the Marshes of Muire - an infertile land that was once home to some of the first humans at the beginning of the Age of the Sword.
Today, still barren, the marshes are void of larger settlements. Some humans still inhabit it, but its significance lies far in the past, back when it was the birthplace of Janus Malacay - one of the most influential humans to have ever lived.
Notable Individuals
- Janus Malacay (deceased): Progenitor of the Shaikan. Greatest alchemist of the Hybernian Empire and the advisor to many of its rulers, including Chlerus the Blessed.
