The land around Stoneblade Mountain is old, older than anyone can remember. After the dwarves migrated from the Grimwarg to the Windwall mountains, they quickly settled the area and established its first mines and forges which would deliver resources, weapons, and armour to Windholme.

This lasted until Isgrimm demanded the dwarves to gather more and more resources, forcing them to mine in spots forbidden, awaking the rage of the land, its stone guardians driving away the dwarves and destroying the mines, leaving the precious weapons once crafted here but a memory.

Stoneblade today is mainly inhabited by beasts, minotaurs, and trolls, and it's far from the welcome place it once was. Some dwarves still settle here, hoping to find old relicts or dig out valuable adamantium, but even though the curse of the land had since been broken, the dwarves have yet to return in full to reclaim what was once theirs.
