* Fate is a cruel mistress. Many peasants struck by a stroke of bad luck can easily find themselves joining devious bands of thieves scattered across the cities and towns of the human realms. With no other choice, they join their new comrades in raiding and ambushing unfortunate passers-by, retreating to their hideouts before the local militia catches up to them. Their way of life is not honourable, but some amongst them have taken a liking to it, dedicating their lives to mastering the skills of deception, pickpocketing, and murder, all while narrowly escaping the chains of justice as they dance on the knife’s edge.
