	During this ambush, it is revealed that the Messenger was to lead the Phoenix Bearer into an ambush, whereupon he was tasked with killing her, as well as given a casket containing the plans for an invasion, which he was to bring to the leaders of the [[Black Fist]]. However, upon engaging in combat with the Rune Warrior, the Messenger quickly met his end as he wasn't a particularly skilled combatant.
