The expansion introduces a new faction, a new mode called Domination and campaign. The story revolves around a [[The Pilgrim|shaikan]] who is driven by a desire to fulfil his destiny and save [[Eo]] from a demonic invasion. The story was continued and concluded in the next expansion [[SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past|Demons of the Past]] which revealed that the events of both expansions were dreams and thus non-canon.

== Setting ==

In the distant during the reign of [[The Shapers]] a race of demonic creatures known as [[The Nameless]] attempted to conquer [[Eo]] but were defeated by [[The Guardians]] and their leader [[Zazhut]] was imprisoned in a dimension beyond [[Eo]].
In the present day, Four years after the collapse of the portal network, a [[The Pilgrim|young shaikan]] is advised by his [[The Elder|mentor]] to make a pilgrimage to [[The Iron Fields]], former homeland of the [[Shaikan]], in the hopes of deciphering his lucid dreams with the aid of the spirits of his ancestors but shortly after his arrival [[The Nameless]] invade [[Eo]] once again in an attempt to free [[Zazhut]], compelling the hero to devise a plan with his allies to stop them.

*[[Zazhut|Zazhut]] God and creator of [[The Nameless]] who acts as the secret antagonist of the expansion

== Development ==
The Development of Faith in Destiny began in May 2009 by due to a myriad of issues such as funding and mismanagement the game was in development hell for quite some time and was released in 2012. The end product was an extremely buggy and unfinished game.
According to an insider the story was originally a fanfiction.
