Before the arrival of the [[Humans]] and [[Dwarves]] on [[:Category:Xu|Xu]], the [[Iron Heart Mountains]] were home to the [[Dark Elves|Norcaine]]. Their abandoned fortresses still adorn this place and send chills down the spine of those traversing the region. The [[Dark Elves|Norcaine]] of this may be long gone, but it had since found new, perhaps even more gruesome, inhabitants.

At the time of the [[Rune Wars]], the <span style="color:#ec6">Raven Pass</span> was the place of one of the first clashes between the [[Rune Warriors]] and the armies of [[Hokan Ashir]]. The Rune turned up the victor, however, the battle left this place more desolate than ever before - perhaps for the better, for many horrors linger neath the mountains here, waiting to reach the light of day.
