* In times not long past, the Medusae were native to the Lost Islands of the Timeless Sea, east of Xu. They were an old, but simple people, living in tribes, occasionally leaving their ancient temples to lure sailors to their shores, only to turn them into statues of stone that would adorn their halls. They are skilled mages and warriors, yet their hostile nature has long kept curious minds at bay. It wasn’t until Shar dedicated years of his life to dangerous research of their power, that their secrets became known. His work made him the most powerful mage of the Isles and granted him a seat in the Circle. Through his magic, he had won their favour, and so, he took a number of their kind with him to Fiara, where, to this day, the Circle uses their skills and petrifying gaze to protect their most precious secrets hidden behind the walls of Mulandir or insider their towers.
