C oNe:

Large weapons do massive damage, but being slightly slower than light weapons. Most of them are 2-handed weapons more so the better ones. The good news is that all the top end large blades are 1-handed so it will still be worthwhile at end game. Heavy Armour & shields allow you to wear the best gear in the game.

Heavy Combat Arts
* Large blade weapons
* Large blunt weapons
* Heavy armour
* Shields

The combat spells you gain automatically by training in heavy combat arts
These are very similar to those in light combat arts however these spells can affect up to 10 units at once.
* Warcry - allows you & 10 nearby allies to do massive damage briefly
* Benefactions - heals you and 9 nearby allies
* Patronize - gives you and 9 nearby allies temporary high magic resistances
* Endurance - reduce physical damage received & dealt by you & 10 nearby allies

I do not recommend splitting points over other combat skills other than light combat arts. just for the reason of using they spells, but only take it as far as level 6.

Here you will need Strength & Stamina. These numbers are a minimum needed for each so the rest you could spend else where or add more to those stats instead for a maximum number per level.

Strength & Stamina Stats needed for Order Of Dawn & Breathe Of Winter Campaign
* level 02 - 26 - 26 - 02
* level 03 - 29 - 29 - 05
* level 04 - 32 - 32 - 07
* level 05 - 35 - 35 - 10
* level 06 - 40 - 40 - 12
* level 07 - 45 - 45 - 15
* level 08 - 51 - 51 - 17
* level 09 - 57 - 57 - 20

Fighters focus on speed & agility. For starters, the fighter character type is the easiest & safest to play

Light Combat Arts
* piercing weapons
* light blade weapons
* light blunt weapons
* light armour

Many of the better weapons in game are light blades, which make piercing & light blunt weapons rather unpopular due to the fact you can dual wield light weapons for maximum speed & damage.

The combat spells you gain automatically by training in light combat arts
* Berserk - allows you to do massive damage briefly
* Blessing - heals you
* Shelter - gives you temporary high magic resistances
* Durability - reduce physical damage received & dealt

You could remove piecing weapons, light armour and instead go for heavy armour but you'll have to add points to strength and stamina in order to wear them. if you intend to dual wield i would not use shields at all or waste points adding those in. You could however add points to a magic skill to gain spells as an added bonus but take it into account you will have to add points to those specifics skills too. I've add the Points needed for those in the builds for each of the classes so over go them before picking your other choices. Heavy Combat, White Magic, Elemental Magic, Mind Magic & Black Magic

In this we will over go the needed amounts of stats for each level of the combat arts build. here you will need Dexterity & Agility. These numbers are a minimum needed for each so the rest you could spend else where or add more to those stats instead for a maximum number per level.

Dexterity & Agility Stats needed For Order Of Dawn & Breathe Of Winter Campaign
* level 02 - 26 - 26 - 02
* level 03 - 28 - 27 - 05
* level 04 - 30 - 29 - 07
* level 05 - 33 - 31 - 10
* level 06 - 37 - 34 - 12
* level 07 - 40 - 37 - 15
* level 08 - 45 - 41 - 17
* level 09 - 50 - 45 - 20
A common tactic to use for rangers is to cast trueshot & salvo before shooting at the enemies. With these 2 spells in effect, you can do respectable amount of damage to multiple enemies all at one time. And when the enemies near you, cast berserk and aura of fast fighting to quicky take them down.

Unlike warriors & fighters, playing as rangers requires a certain amount of patience. You cannot barge into a large horde just like that. Careful survey of the landscape for escape routes & clearance is essential for most battles.

Range Combat Arts
* Bow
* Crossbow

There are very few good bows or crossbows in the game which makes this Class very unrewarding.

The combat spells you gain automatically by training in range combat arts
* Steelskin - immunizes you against range attacks
* Salvo - lets you shoot multiple targets at the same time briefly

Large weapons do massive damage, but being slightly slower than light weapons. Most of them are 2-handed weapons more so the better ones. The good news is that all the top end large blades are 1-handed so it will still be worthwhile at end game. Heavy Armour & shields allow you to wear the best gear in the game.

Heavy Combat Arts
* Large blade weapons
* Large blunt weapons
* Heavy armour
* Shields

* level 02 - 26 - 26 - 02

Fighters focus on speed & agility. For starters, the fighter character type is the easiest & safest to play

Light Combat Arts
* piercing weapons
* light blade weapons
* light blunt weapons
* light armour

Many of the better weapons in game are light blades, which make piercing & light blunt weapons rather unpopular due to the fact you can dual wield light weapons for maximum speed & damage.

The combat spells you gain automatically by training in light combat arts
* Berserk - allows you to do massive damage briefly
* Blessing - heals you
* Shelter - gives you temporary high magic resistances

Levelling in Spellforce requires a certain amount of experience that you can gain from killing enemies, from completing main & side quests during the main campaigns.

Each Level you gain allows you to spend 2 points on abilities specifications & 5 points in stats. You will however start the game with 2 abilities & 30 stats points to choose from.

Abilities are you main Spec where as Specifications are what you can have in tree of that ability. However each of those abilities needs different stats in order to gain high levels. Taking into account that you could mix and match them to create an all around model. Which in some cases can the play very adaptive. I will cover those on the builds section of the wiki. The Character Creation section of this wiki contains a video where i explain them in a little detail.

You start the game with level 1, with 2 points for your abilities & 30 points for stats. Over the course of the whole game you will reach depending on how you play run the game anything from level 28 to 30. i would however recommend levelling to 30 as my builds are bulit on level 30.

Start
* 2 - Abilities points
* 30 - Stats points

End at level 30 (Total Point used & earnt including start points)
* 60 - Abilities points
* 175 - Stats points

Use these points wisely to create the build you want, going as far as level 30 for both Order Of dawn or breathe Of Winter. Shadow Of The Phoenix however will take your characters to a max of level 50.
